Vidrio line cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients and assembling dishes per restaurant recipes and specifications and for maintaining the highest quality for each dish. In addition, cooks are responsible for setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies, preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces), cooking menu items in cooperation with the chef and kitchen staff, answering, reporting and following executive and sous chef’s instructions, maintaining a clean station and following proper protocol for leftover food, appropriately stocking inventory, ensuring proper timing of food plate serving and working in a professional and timely fashion. Cooks must also comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, and maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Candidates must have experience with various cooking techniques, health and safety procedures, and other various aspects of upscale restaurant concepts. A culinary degree is preferred.
Vidrio is a dinner only concept. Candidates must be available to work evenings, nights and weekends.
